Patients with Dental Insurance
Our office deals with many different insurance companies. These companies offer many different dental plans, which can change in coverage, at any time throughout the year. We do our best to provide you with accurate coverage estimates based on information available to us. At times, it is almost impossible to accurately estimate a patient’s balance after their insurance has been processed (co-payment), because some insurance companies do not provide this information to dental offices, but rather to the patient. Dealing with these companies can be difficult and time consuming. As a courtesy, we ask that you keep us informed of any changes to your insurance. It is important for you to let us know what limitations and/or requirements have been applied to your dental plan. Please understand however, that ethically it is the dentist’s responsibility to treat the patient and provide for their individual needs to the best of his/her ability regardless of insurance company allowances or restrictions. We are obligated and committed to treat the patient and not the insurance plan. To help you understand your insurance and its limitations, we recommend that you review the

As a courtesy to our patients, we will submit necessary claim forms to your dental insurance company.
For those companies that allow assignment of benefits, we are happy to accept this form of payment from your primary insurance. For you, the patient, this means that you only pay the dental office the portion of fees not covered by your primary insurance, at the time of your appointment. This is known as your co-payment. The remainder of the fee is collected directly from the insurance company. For those insurance companies that do not allow this type of payment structure, the fees will be collected from the patient at the time of treatment.
We appreciate your trust in our dental care and look forward to assisting you in your continued dental health.
